Better code, less effort

I’m talking at this months Sydney PHP Group. The topic will be “Better code, less effort” where I’ll be discussing using MVC, DAO & CRUD to help you write better code in less time. It will also cover adding some bling with AJAX auto-completes and lookups, and search pages. If time permits I’ll also cover wizards.

On Thursday I’ll be doing a presentation on Subversion and Trac at the Sydney PHP Group. It will be “how to” focused so people can leave with enough knowledge to start using these tools. If you plan to attend then email rsvp@sydphp.org

PDO Talk

The slides for my presentation at this months Syd::PHP meeting about the PHP Data Objects Extension are now available online.

Presenting at SydPHP in May

I’ll be talking about PDO at the May Sydney PHP Users Group meeting. If you’re in town then come along and say hi. This will probably be my last talk before running my first PHP training course in Sydney. (Hint: If you’re interested in PHP training in Sydney then contact me soon)

Beyond that I’ll be working on papers I’m hoping to present at OSDC 2007 and LCA 2008.

Here are the slides for the Active Record Design Pattern talk I gave to the Sydney PHP Users Group on March 3, 2007. They are available in PDF and ODF (Open Office) formats.
